VERSCHILLENDE PRESENTATIESOORTEN DIE BELANGRIJK ZIJN VOOR JOUW BUSINESS MET AI
KNOWLEDGE.
A new decade has arrived. The decade we are leaving behind is a decade in which lots of innovation has taken place when it comes to technological developments (AI, VR) and, therefore, the way in which we present. Also, a new reality has developed in which creating beautiful (visual) content quickly is of utmost importance. Therefore, more platforms are rising with which you can accomplish this. A lot of innovations have taken place within Present Savvy as well. For example, we have put new tools to use in order to make presentations even more memorable! In 2019, we have used one of Prezi’s new tools, Prezi Video, that we will discuss later on in this blog. Also, we have launched multiple informative blogs in the past decade, such as Our Creative Landscape is Changing, Quickly! and The Magic of the Metaphor. In Present Savvy’s first blog of the new decade, we are listing some 2020 tools and trends, just like we did last year. This time, we evaluated five tools on their level of innovation, usability and possibilities.
Creating videos to convey a message to your audience is a trend or, better yet, a new reality. Even more and crazier possibilities are arising. Prezi has responded to this by launching a new tool, Prezi Video. This is a video creation tool which enables you to display both yourself and your visuals (your presentation) on screen simultaneously. You can display it live, but you can also record a video. This might sound a bit vague, so we have added an example to show you what we mean.
Over time, it has become very clear that Prezi is quite fond of innovation. They have added a new possibility to an already innovative tool: Prezi Video. With Prezi Video, you can display your presentation whilst you are integrated into the presentation by means of video footage. In this way, you can actually become a part of your presentation and your body can float in between the visuals that you have created to convey your story with. You can choose a template and adapt it to your needs, which is both a quick and easy way of creating a Prezi Video. If you are a more advanced user, you can create an entire presentation and record this to create a video. You can find an example of such a video on our Prezi Video page.
Because you can create a presentation of your own and use this in a video, the possibilities and means for variation are endless! Also, there are a great many options for editing your video. In this way, you can adapt the video to your own taste.
This way of creating videos is a type of augmented reality, because you can place yourself in a virtual world with moving elements. It is a new way of integrating a presentation into a video of yourself to create one video. You can use Prezi Video for lots of different purposes. For example, you can create a live interactive presentation for an event or conference, but you can also opt to record your videos and use them in a webinar, training or online course. You can also share your videos through social media as a cool teaser for a product, concept or event. In short: the possibilities are endless!
Visme is a tool that can help you create visualizations in the shape of presentations, infographics and other visual content. It responds well to the trends of creating attractive content quickly. Visme offers templates, graphic elements and images that you can use to create content with. With Visme, you can also create social media graphics, website/blog graphics, printables (such as posters, flyers & business cards) and documents (such as reports, newsletters & e-books).
Let’s be honest: it takes quite some time to figure out Visme. There are so many options, buttons and possibilities, that it requires some patience. But, once you understand how Visme works, it can be very useful! Luckily, Visme has created lots of blogs and YouTube video’s explaining how to use the tool. In this video, they explain how to create a presentation in Visme and what the various possibilities are.
Visme has lots of different possibilities when it comes to creating presentations. You can find lots of different templates in the database, each with a different design and its own options. The templates that PowerPoint offers are quite basic, but the Visme templates, on the contrary, are pretty extensive. You can pick slides on which you can visualize data or use an agenda. There are also options for creating a timeline, diagrams, product comparisons, step-by-step plans and much more. You can visualize the data in your presentation attractively with the built-in tool for data visualization. Another cool possibility is turning your presentation into an interactive presentation. You can also work on Visme projects together, which is quite useful for teams. A slight disadvantage is not being able to export your presentation to PowerPoint. You can present your project via the Visme website, but you can also download it as a pdf document or interactive HTML 5 format (which enables you to present without using an internet connection).
If you want to create a presentation that is truly different, which requires the audience to think out of the box, Visme is a very strong tool! Like we mentioned before, there are ample possibilities for using innovative templates. Also, the built-in tool to visualize data is very innovative and useful. For me, personally, the most innovative and biggest advantage of Visme is how attractive everything will look! If you’re not that skilled in creating presentations, Visme can definitely help to create an impressive presentation.
The Adobe family is the holy grail amongst the design tools, but thanks to the rise of many online tools, this is slowly changing. Thankfully, Adobe has responded to the needs of the market (creating attractive content quickly). They, too, have launched some new tools; three tools that are part of Adobe Spark (Spark Post, Spark Video and Spark Page). With Adobe Spark, you can easily create social graphics, webpages and short videos.
Adobe Spark is very usable for consumers that don’t have a lot of experience with designing. Within a couple of minutes, you can figure out how these tools work. Adobe Spark guides you through the designing process. Adobe would like everybody, from bloggers to marketeers and students, to have the possibility to create visual stories. In order to do this, you don’t have to be a professional designer.
Adobe Spark is a very accessible tool, with which you can quickly visualize content. Because of the limited possibilities of Spark, it is slightly less innovative than the previously mentioned tools. There are lots of other tools that provide the same options. The advantage (and innovative quality) of using Spark is that basically everybody can create attractive content. With other design tools, such as Canva, this is more complicated.
Like we mentioned before, Adobe Spark consists of three separate tools. These three tools all have a wide array of templates, which makes working with the tools a lot easier. For example, you can use Spark Post to create professional graphics for social media. In Spark Post, you can make use of layering images with text and filters, just like with Photoshop and InDesign. Spark Page can be used for creating web stories, as they call them. You can use this tool to share newsletters, reports or photo albums online in the shape of a webpage. Spark Video can be used to easily and quickly create animated videos. Unfortunately, you can’t use video footage in the Spark Video tool. You can only use images, text, music, voice-overs and icons. A slight disadvantage regarding the usability of Adobe Spark is that this provides designers with less possibilities within the tools themselves. You are stuck to a format and the template that you are using. The possibility to adapt your designs to your personal preference is limited.
With this tool, you can create cinemagraphs; a combination between image and video footage, in which only part of the image is moving. In the gif (or video) you see here, the whole image is frozen, except for the burning fire. With a cinemagraph, you can focus the audience’s attention to the moving element in the image. Perfect for presentations, if you ask us.
Basically everybody can create cinemagraphs with this tool, but it is quite a challenge to get an attractive and convincing end result. In the process of shooting the footage, the camera has to stand completely still. Therefore, it is useful to use a tripod. You can use your phone in combination with the app, but you can also use a camera and edit the videos on your computer. Also, there has to be a clear divide between the two elements, because you want to display a contrast between what is moving in the image and what isn’t. In this image, the man on the left will drink his tea, while the woman on the right isn’t moving. Therefore, there are quite some ‘rules’ to consider when creating a catchy cinemagraph.
With this tool, you can convey a message to your audience in a clever way, which can be very useful for marketing your brand. Because Facebook and Instagram autoplay videos, it is very useful to use cinemagraphs on social media. A cinemagraph is a nice change from regular images or videos and is therefore a cool eyecatcher for in presentation or on social media.
Because you can decide what will move and how it will move in your cinemagraph yourself, the possibilities are endless. You can be as creative as you want. Also, the tool has many options for editing: you can change the speed of the movement, add text, edit the colours and light, and much more.
Placeit is a tool that you can use to create mock-ups, logo’s, designs and animated videos with. This tool focuses on visual content for branding and marketing. With Placeit’s videomaker, you can create different types of videos to convey a message to your audience. A wonderful program created by Envato.
This tool, too, guides you through the designing process, by enabling you to use and adapt the existing templates. The designs you create are precomposed. This tool is meant mostly for non-designers.
You can use this tool to create a slideshow video, but also for creating animated Instagram stories/posts and product videos. Also, there are templates for a video introduction for your company videos or vlogs to display your logo at the beginning of your video. There is also a wide offer of templates for the other options for creating video’s, which ensures that your designs always look professional. A disadvantage of using these templates is that you are confined to them and can’t customize them to completely fit your preferences. You can also add images and videos to your designs and add text and music.
The tool cleverly responds to the trend of conveying your message through video. With the tool, you can create attractive visual content in an easy way. The videos automatically look professional, because the templates ensure that the images, videos and texts you add will all be edited with the same effects.
According to us, Visme is the most versatile and innovative tool in this list, but it takes a little more time and effort to master this tool. Besides the mentioned tools, there are lots of other great tools to create graphics, videos and/or presentations.
